air fryer chicken on a stick

Preparation Time: 1 hour (including marinating time)
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Intensity: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for at least 30 minutes

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    • In a bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, paprika, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
    • Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and toss until evenly coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
  2. Preheat Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  3. Skewer the Chicken:
    • Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  4. Air Fry:
    • Place the chicken skewers in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Air fry the chicken skewers at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking, until the chicken is cooked through and has a golden brown exterior.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove the chicken skewers from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
    • Serve the air fryer chicken skewers hot with your favorite dipping sauce or as part of a meal with rice, salad, or vegetables.

Note: You can customize the marinade by adding other spices or herbs such as smoked paprika, chili powder, or fresh minced ginger for extra flavor. Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of your chicken cubes to ensure they are cooked thoroughly.
