  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions:

Preparation:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean and Prep Mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems. Set aside the mushroom caps for stuffing.
  3. Cook Italian Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage until browned and crumbly. Remove excess fat, if any.
  4. Prepare Stuffing Mixture: In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Stuffing the Mushrooms:

  1. Stuff the Mushrooms: Spoon the sausage and cheese mixture into each mushroom cap, pressing down gently to pack the stuffing.
  2. Arrange in Air Fryer Basket: Place the stuffed mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Ensure they are not overcrowded to allow for even cooking.

Air Frying:

  1. Air Fry: Lightly spray the stuffed mushrooms with olive oil. Place the basket in the preheated air fryer.
  2. Cooking Time: Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 12 minutes or until the mushrooms are golden brown and the filling is hot and bubbly.
  3. Serve: Carefully remove the stuffed mushrooms from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. Arrange on a serving platter and garnish with additional chopped parsley if desired.
