  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, diced

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried)

For the Wraps:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite melting cheese)

  • 4 large flour tortillas (10–12 inch)

  • 2 tablespoons garlic butter (see optional recipe below)

  • Optional fillings: lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, cooked bacon, or ranch dressing

 Optional Homemade Garlic Butter

  • 2 tablespoons softened butter

  • 1 clove garlic, finely grated or minced

  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley or Italian seasoning

  • Pinch of salt

Mix all ingredients together and spread inside wraps or brush on top before pan-frying for extra flavor.

How to Make Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps

Step 1: Cook the Garlic Chicken

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds, just until fragrant (don’t burn it!).

  3. Add diced chicken, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  4. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 6–8 minutes, or until chicken is golden and fully cooked through.

  5. Stir in parsley and set aside.

Tip: Want even more flavor? Deglaze the pan with a splash of chicken broth or white wine after cooking the chicken.

Step 2: Assemble the Wraps

  1. Lay tortillas on a flat surface.

  2. Spread a thin layer of garlic butter on one side of each tortilla (optional, but tasty).

  3. On each tortilla, add:

    • A handful of shredded cheese (½ cup total)

    • A scoop of garlic chicken

    • Any optional fillings like lettuce, tomato, or bacon

  4. Fold the sides inward, then roll tightly into a wrap or burrito shape.

Step 3: Toast the Wraps

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet or panini press over medium heat.

  2. Place each wrap seam-side down into the pan.

  3. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Bonus Tip: Brush the outside with garlic butter before toasting for crispy, buttery goodness.

 Serving Suggestions

These wraps are perfect served on their own or with sides like:

  • Sweet potato fries or potato wedges

  • Caesar salad or coleslaw

  • Pickles or sliced cucumbers

  • A side of ranch, garlic aioli, or chipotle mayo for dipping

 Make-Ahead & Meal Prep

These wraps are excellent for meal prep!

  • Make ahead: Cook the garlic chicken in advance and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.

  • Wrap storage: Assemble wraps, store in airtight containers, and toast when ready to eat.

  • Freezer option: Wrap individually in foil or plastic, then freeze. Reheat in a skillet or toaster oven.

To reheat from frozen, thaw overnight in the fridge, then toast until hot and crisp.
