This guide walks you through a foolproof base recipe, plus ideas for flavor add-ins, dairy alternatives, and even a frappe-style twist.

Ingredients

Basic Iced Coffee:

  • 1 1/2 cups chilled brewed coffee (strong is best!)

  • 1 cup ice cubes

  • 1/2 cup milk or cream (whole, oat, almond, etc.)

  • 1–2 tablespoons sweetener (sugar, honey, maple syrup, or syrup of choice)

  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Add-ins:

  • 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup or caramel sauce

  • 1 scoop vanilla or coffee ice cream for extra creaminess

  • 1–2 tablespoons protein powder

  • A pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg

Tools You’ll Need

  • Ninja Blender (Nutri Ninja, Ninja Foodi, Ninja Professional, etc.)

  • Coffee maker (or French press, pour-over, etc.)

  • Glasses for serving

  • Straw or reusable cup (optional, for that café feel)

Instructions

Step 1: Brew and Chill Your Coffee

Brew strong coffee using your preferred method. For best results, double the amount of coffee grounds for a bolder flavor that holds up to the ice.

Let it cool to room temperature or chill it in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes. You can also use cold brew or leftover coffee from the morning.

Step 2: Add Ingredients to Your Ninja Blender

In your Ninja Blender, add the following in this order:

  1. Ice cubes

  2. Chilled coffee

  3. Milk or cream

  4. Sweetener of choice

  5. Any optional flavorings (vanilla, chocolate, spices)

Secure the lid and make sure the blender is locked into place.

Step 3: Blend It Smooth

Use the “Crush” or “Smoothie” setting depending on your Ninja model.

Blend on high for about 45 seconds to 1 minute, or until the ice is fully crushed and the drink is smooth and frothy.

Taste and adjust sweetness or creaminess if needed.

Step 4: Pour and Enjoy

Pour your iced coffee into two glasses. Add more ice if desired. Garnish with whipped cream, a drizzle of syrup, or cinnamon on top.

Enjoy immediately with a straw, or transfer to a travel mug for your caffeine fix on the go.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use Strong Coffee: Iced coffee tastes best when the coffee is strong and bold — regular-strength brew can get watered down with ice.

  • Chill the Coffee First: Hot coffee will melt your ice quickly and make the drink watery.

  • Control Sweetness: Start with less sweetener and taste as you go — especially if you’re adding syrups or flavored creamers.

  • Use Coffee Ice Cubes: Freeze extra brewed coffee in an ice tray and use them instead of water-based ice cubes for more flavor.
