 Introduction

Imagine the buttery flakiness of a croissant folded into the fun shape of a muffin — then layered with sweet peach pie filling and cinnamon. That’s exactly what Peach Pie Cruffins offer — a nostalgic pastry upgrade with minimal effort. Made with store‑bought crescent dough and peach preserves, they bake into golden, spiral pastries with gooey centers and bakery‑style appeal

These cruffins are perfect for summertime brunches, potlucks, or even as a quick weekday breakfast (or dessert!). Customize fillings or glazes to fit the season—think apple, cherry, or cream cheese.

 Ingredients

Cruffins

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz) — forms the flaky spiral

  • 1 cup peach preserves or pie filling (undrained, not too runny)

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)

Glaze (optional):

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

  • 2–3 tbsp heavy cream (or milk)

  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

 Equipment Needed

  • Standard 6‑cup or 12‑cup muffin tin

  • Pastry brush

  • Rolling pin (optional)

  • Sharp knife

  • Small mixing bowl

  • Spoon or spatula

  • Cooling rack

 Directions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease the muffin tin generously or line with paper liners

Step 2: Fill & Spread

Unroll the crescent dough and gently press seams to create a single sheet. Brush with melted butter, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the surface  Spread peach preserves evenly over the dough, leaving a small border to prevent leaks

Step 3: Roll & Slice

Roll dough tightly from the long edge into a log. Trim ends if needed. Slice the roll lengthwise (down the center), exposing the layered filling

Step 4: Twist & Shape

Twist each strip several times, then coil into a spiral (cut‑side up) and place in the muffin tin well  Repeat until all dough is used.

Step 5: Bake

Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the cruffins are puffed and golden brown  Baking time may vary slightly based on oven and tin size.

Step 6: Cool & Glaze

Allow cruffins to cool in the tin for 5–10 minutes to firm up
Whisk together powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla to make a smooth glaze. Drizzle over warm cruffins.

 Serving Suggestions

  • Serve fresh and warm with coffee or tea for brunch.

  • For a dessert twist, pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

  • For picnics, pack chilled cruffins with fresh berries and yogurt.
