  • 1–2 tablespoons white sugar or honey (optional)

 Optional (for alcoholic version):

  • 2 oz white rum (like Bacardi or Malibu)

  • 1/2 oz dark rum (optional, for depth of flavor)

  • Cocktail umbrella (for full tiki effect!)

  • Straw or spoon

Instructions: How to Make Ninja SLUSHi Piña Coladas

Step 1: Add Ice and Fruit to Blender

Start by adding 2 cups of crushed ice and 1 cup of frozen pineapple chunks to your Ninja blender. If you’re using fresh pineapple instead of frozen, make sure to increase the ice slightly to maintain that signature slushy consistency.

Step 2: Pour in Liquids

Add 1 cup of pineapple juice and 1/2 cup of thick coconut cream. You can find canned coconut cream in most international or baking aisles. Make sure to shake or stir the can first to combine any separated cream.

Step 3: Add Sweetener (Optional)

Taste your pineapple juice and coconut cream. If you like things sweeter, add 1–2 tablespoons of sugar, agave, or honey.

Step 4: Add Rum (Optional)

If you’re making this an adult drink, add 2 oz of white rum. For extra tropical flavor and depth, you can add a half-ounce of dark rum as well. For a kid-friendly or alcohol-free version, simply skip this step!

Step 5: Blend to Frosty Perfection

Secure the lid and blend on your Ninja’s “Frozen Drink” or “Crush” setting for 45 seconds to 1 minute. You’re aiming for a thick, icy, spoonable texture — like a frozen daiquiri or smoothie.

If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more pineapple juice. If it’s too runny, toss in a handful of ice and blend again for 10 seconds.

Step 6: Serve and Garnish

Pour into glasses immediately and top with a pineapple wedge, cherry, and (if you’re feeling fancy) toasted coconut or a tiny umbrella. Serve with a straw or spoon and enjoy immediately!.

Tips for the Perfect Piña Colada:

  • Use Crushed Ice: It blends faster and gives a smoother slush.

  • Chill Your Glasses: Put your glasses in the freezer for 10 minutes beforehand.

  • Use Frozen Pineapple: It intensifies the tropical flavor and helps create the ideal frosty texture.

  • Taste as You Go: If your pineapple juice is very sweet, you may not need extra sugar.
