Bacon Wrapped Chicken Tenders

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Difficulty Level: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 10-12 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Toothpicks (optional, for securing bacon)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven or Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season Chicken Tenders:
    • In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Season Chicken:
    • Season each chicken tender with the spice mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Wrap with Bacon:
    • Take a slice of bacon and wrap it around each chicken tender. If needed, secure the bacon with toothpicks, making sure to remove them before serving.
  5. Arrange in Oven or Air Fryer:
    • Place the bacon-wrapped chicken tenders on a baking sheet or in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
  6. Bake or Air Fry:
    • If using an oven, bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is cooked through. If using an air fryer, air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 15-18 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Broil (Optional):
    • If you desire extra crispiness, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
  8. Check for Doneness:
    • Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Serve:
    • Remove toothpicks if used and serve the Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Tenders hot.
  10. Enjoy!
    • These delicious bacon-wrapped chicken tenders make a tasty appetizer or a main course. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Note:

Feel free to customize the seasoning by adding herbs or spices of your choice. Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the bacon and your preferred level of crispiness.
