Bacon wrappes green beans

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes
Total Time: 25-30 minutes
Servings: 4-6 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
  • 6-8 slices bacon, cut in half
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Toothpicks, soaked in water for 10 minutes (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Green Beans:
    • Wash the green beans thoroughly and trim off the stems. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Wrap with Bacon:
    • Take a small bundle of green beans, about 6-8 beans, and wrap half a slice of bacon around the center. Secure the ends of the bacon with toothpicks if needed.
    • Repeat with the remaining green beans and bacon slices.
  3. Season:
    • Drizzle olive oil over the bacon-wrapped green beans and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if desired. Toss gently to coat.
  4. Preheat the Blackstone Griddle:
    • Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat, around 375°F to 400°F (190°C to 200°C).
  5. Cook on the Griddle:
    • Carefully place the bacon-wrapped green beans on the preheated griddle in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
    • Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the bacon is crispy and the green beans are tender, with a slight char.
  6. Serve:
    • Once cooked, transfer the bacon-wrapped green beans to a serving platter.
    • Remove the toothpicks before serving.
    • Serve hot and enjoy as a delicious appetizer or side dish!
  7. Note:
    • Soaking toothpicks in water helps prevent them from burning on the griddle.
    • You can customize this recipe by adding your favorite seasonings or a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
