Beef and broccoli lo mein

Ingredients
For the Marinade:
- 1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
For the Lo Mein:
- 8 oz (225g) lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)
For the Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
For Garnish:
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef:
- In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, cornstarch, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Add the sliced flank steak and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Cook the Noodles:
- Cook the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Cook the Vegetables and Beef:
- Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the griddle.
- Add the broccoli florets and sliced red bell pepper to the griddle. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they start to become tender.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the griddle. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the other side of the griddle.
- Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until it is browned and cooked through.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Add the minced garlic and sliced onion to the beef and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Mix the vegetables and beef together on the griddle.
- Add the cooked noodles to the griddle and pour the sauce over everything. Toss to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
- Serve:
- Transfer the beef and broccoli lo mein to a serving platter.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
