Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna

If you’re craving lasagna but don’t have the time or energy to layer pasta, boil noodles, and spend hours in the kitchen, Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna is your new go-to. This crowd-pleasing dish is made with just a few ingredients: frozen ravioli, marinara sauce, ground beef or sausage, and plenty of gooey cheese.

It’s the perfect lazy lasagna recipe — with all the comfort and flavor of the classic, but none of the work. Great for busy weeknights, potlucks, or feeding a hungry family.

 Preparation Details

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes

  • Cook Time: 3–4 hours on LOW or 2–2.5 hours on HIGH

  • Total Time: Up to 4 hours 15 minutes

  • Skill Level: Super easy

  • Servings: 6–8

 Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 (25–28 oz) bag frozen ravioli (cheese or meat-filled)

  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage (or a mix)

  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce or pasta sauce

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional: 1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese for a creamy layer

  • Optional: 1 tablespoon olive oil (if not draining meat)

 Instructions

Step 1: Brown the Meat

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or sausage over medium heat until fully browned, about 7–8 minutes.

  2. Drain excess grease, if needed.

  3. Stir in:

    • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

    • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

    • Salt and pepper to taste

    • Half of the jarred marinara sauce (save the rest for layering)

Step 2: Prep the Crockpot

  1. Lightly spray the inside of a 6-quart slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.

  2. Spoon a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom to prevent sticking.

Step 3: Layer the Ingredients

Now build your “lazy lasagna” with easy layers:

  1. Layer 1: Frozen ravioli (a single layer — overlap slightly)

  2. Layer 2: Half of the meat mixture

  3. Layer 3: Dollops of ricotta or cottage cheese (if using)

  4. Layer 4: A sprinkle of mozzarella and Parmesan

  5. Repeat the layers — ravioli, meat, cheese — until everything is used up, finishing with a layer of ravioli topped with sauce and lots of cheese.

Step 4: Cook

  • Cover the slow cooker and cook on:

    • LOW for 3½ to 4 hours, or

    • HIGH for 2 to 2½ hours, until bubbly and hot throughout.

Cheese should be melted and slightly golden around the edges.

Step 5: Rest and Serve

  • Turn off heat and let the lasagna rest for 10–15 minutes before serving. This helps it set and makes slicing easier.
