Ingredients:
- 8 slices of rye bread
- 1 pound (450g) corned beef, thinly sliced
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
Instructions:
- Assemble Sandwiches:
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of rye bread. Place the slices butter-side down on a clean surface.
- Layer the corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing evenly among 4 slices of bread.
- Top and Grill:
- Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of bread, butter-side up.
- Preheat Blackstone Griddle:
- Preheat your Blackstone griddle over medium heat until hot.
- Grill Sandwiches:
- Place the assembled sandwiches on the hot griddle. Grill for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Press and Serve:
- If desired, place a heavy skillet or sandwich press on top of the sandwiches to help flatten them while cooking.
- Serve:
- Once the sandwiches are cooked to your liking, remove them from the griddle and slice them diagonally.
- Enjoy:
- Serve the delicious Blackstone Reubens hot, accompanied by pickles or potato chips, for a classic and satisfying meal.
