Ingredients (Serves 12–15)
Cake Layers
- 2 (3.4 oz) boxes vanilla instant pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (Cool Whip)
- 1 box graham crackers
Chocolate Topping
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Filling
- In a large bowl, whisk together pudding mix and milk until smooth and thick.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
2. Assemble the Layers
- In a 9×13-inch baking dish, arrange a single layer of graham crackers at the bottom.
- Spread half of the pudding mixture evenly over the crackers.
- Add another layer of graham crackers, then spread the remaining pudding mixture on top.
- Finish with a final layer of graham crackers.
3. Make the Chocolate Topping
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Whisk in the cocoa powder and milk until smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar and vanilla extract until glossy.
- Pour the chocolate topping over the final graham cracker layer and spread evenly.
4. Chill & Serve
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best) to soften the graham crackers.
- Slice and serve cold. Enjoy!
