Air Fryer Cheesy Tortilla Garlic Bread

A fast, crunchy, cheesy garlic bread — tortilla-style and air fried to golden perfection.

 Prep Time: 5 minutes
 Cook Time: 6–8 minutes
Yield: 2–4 servings (as a snack or side)
 Difficulty: Super easy

 Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas (8–10 inch size)

  • 1½ tbsp butter, softened

  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced or finely grated

  • ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or your cheese of choice)

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional, but adds flavor)

  • 1 tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes, for a spicy kick

 Instructions

 Step 1: Make Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix together:

  • Softened butter

  • Minced garlic

  • Dried parsley or seasoning

  • A pinch of salt & pepper

You should have a spreadable, fragrant garlic butter.

Step 2: Assemble the Tortilla Garlic Bread

  1. Lay out one tortilla on a clean surface.

  2. Spread garlic butter over the entire surface.

  3. Sprinkle a generous layer of mozzarella cheese and Parmesan (if using) over half the tortilla.

  4. Fold the tortilla in half (like a quesadilla), pressing gently to seal.

  5. Repeat with the second tortilla if making two.

 Step 3: Air Fry

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) if needed.

  2. Place folded tortilla(s) in the air fryer basket. If needed, cook in batches.

  3. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy on both sides.

    • Check at the 5-minute mark — all air fryers vary.

 Step 4: Slice & Serve

  • Let cool for 1–2 minutes (cheese will be molten).

  • Slice into wedges like garlic breadsticks or quesadilla triangles.

  • Garnish with extra parsley or a sprinkle of Parmesan.

  • Serve with marinara sauce, ranch, or garlic aioli for dipping.

 Variations & Add-Ins

  • Extra Garlic: Add garlic powder or roasted garlic paste to the butter for deeper flavor.

  • Cheese Blend: Try cheddar, provolone, or pepper jack for variety.

  • Fresh Herbs: Add chopped fresh parsley, basil, or chives after cooking.

  • Spicy Kick: Add chili flakes or jalapeño slices inside the tortilla.

  • Make It a Meal: Add pepperoni, grilled chicken, or sautéed mushrooms before folding.

 Tips for Success

  • Don’t overstuff or cheese will spill out while cooking.

  • Press gently on the tortilla before air frying to help it crisp evenly.

  • If you prefer extra crispy, brush the outside with a little olive oil or garlic butter before air frying.

  • No air fryer? You can make these in a skillet over medium heat — just flip carefully and cook until golden on both sides.
