 Ingredients

Dough:

  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F / 43°C)

  • 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 large eggs

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

Filling:

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 2 ½ tbsp ground cinnamon

  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter, softened

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 2 tbsp milk

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

 Instructions

 Step 1: Make the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, warm the milk and sprinkle yeast over it. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.

  2. Stir in sugar, melted butter, and eggs until combined.

  3. Add flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead by hand or mixer for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. Cover bowl with a towel and let dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

 Step 2: Prepare Filling

  1. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

 Step 3: Roll and Fill

  1. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a 16×12 inch rectangle.

  2. Spread softened butter evenly over the dough.

  3. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the butter.

 Step 4: Shape Rolls

  1. Starting at the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log.

  2. Cut into 12 equal pieces and place rolls cut-side up in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.

  3. Cover and let rise another 30 minutes until puffy.

 Step 5: Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Bake rolls for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

 Step 6: Make Glaze & Serve

  1. Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.

  2. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls before serving.

 Serving Suggestions

  • Serve warm with a cup of coffee or tea.

  • Top with chopped nuts or cream cheese frosting for extra indulgence.
