Homemade chocolate frosty
Sugar-Free Chocolate Frosty Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream (or coconut cream for a dairy-free option)
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup (60ml) unsweetened almond milk (or any low-carb milk of choice)
- 2-3 tablespoons powdered erythritol (or your favorite sugar-free sweetener)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: 1-2 tablespoons sugar-free chocolate chips (for added texture)
Instructions:
Step 1: Blend the Ingredients
- In a blender, combine the heavy cream, unsweetened cocoa powder, almond milk, powdered erythritol, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend until all ingredients are well mixed, and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Step 2: Chill the Mixture
- Pour the blended mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe dish and place it in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
- Stir the mixture every 10-15 minutes to keep it from freezing solid and to give it that frosty-like texture.
Step 3: Serve
- Once the mixture has thickened to a soft-serve consistency, it’s ready to serve.
- Scoop it into cups or bowls and enjoy immediately.
- For extra texture, you can fold in some sugar-free chocolate chips or sprinkle on top as a garnish.
Tips:
- Consistency: If the frosty freezes too much, let it sit out for a few minutes to soften, or blend again to reach the desired consistency.
- Sweetener: Adjust the sweetness to your taste by adding more or less powdered erythritol. You can also use monk fruit sweetener or stevia.
- Flavors: You can add a tablespoon of peanut butter or a few drops of mint extract for a twist on the classic chocolate frosty flavor.
