sausages in air fryer

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes

Servings: 4

Difficulty Level: Easy

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (about 4-6 links) sausages (pork, chicken, or your preferred type)
  • Olive oil spray or cooking spray (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prick Sausages (Optional):
    • If your sausages have casings, you can use a fork to prick them in a few places. This helps to release excess fat and prevent them from bursting during cooking.
  3. Arrange in Air Fryer Basket:
    • Place the sausages in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Make sure they are not touching each other for even cooking.
  4. Air Fry:
    • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping the sausages halfway through the cooking time. The cooking time may vary based on the size and type of sausages you are using.
  5. Check for Doneness:
    • The sausages are done when they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for pork sausages and 165°F (74°C) for chicken sausages. Use a meat thermometer to check the temperature.
  6. Optional Browning:
    • If you desire extra browning, you can spray the sausages with olive oil or cooking spray during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  7. Serve:
    • Once cooked, remove the sausages from the air fryer.
  8. Enjoy!
    • Serve the Air Fryer Sausages hot with your favorite sides, in a bun, or as part of another dish.

Note:

Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness and type of sausages you are using. Cooking times may vary between air fryer models. Always check the internal temperature to ensure the sausages are fully cooked. Experiment with different sausage varieties and seasonings for added flavor.
