Ingredients:
- 4 large baking potatoes
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, bacon bits
Instructions:
Microwave Pre-Cooking:
- Pierce Potatoes:
- Using a fork, pierce each potato several times to allow steam to escape.
- Microwave Potatoes:
- Place the potatoes in the microwave and cook on high for 8-10 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time. The potatoes should be partially cooked but still firm.
Air Frying:
- Preheat Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) while the potatoes are microwaving.
- Coat Potatoes with Olive Oil:
- Once microwaved, let the potatoes cool slightly. Rub each potato with olive oil, ensuring they are well coated.
- Season:
- Sprinkle the potatoes with salt and pepper to taste. You can also add other seasonings like garlic powder or paprika if desired.
- Air Fry:
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure there is space between them. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, turning the potatoes halfway through the cooking time.
- Check for Doneness:
- Use a fork to check the doneness of the potatoes. They should be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
- Serve:
- Once done, remove the air-fried baked potatoes from the air fryer. Allow them to cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Add Toppings:
- Slice open each potato and fluff the insides with a fork. Add your favorite toppings such as sour cream, shredded cheese, chives, or bacon bits.
- Enjoy:
- Serve the air-fried baked potatoes as a side dish or a satisfying main course. Enjoy the crispy skin and fluffy interior!
Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the size of the potatoes and the specific model of your air fryer. Adjust the cooking time accordingly.
