Air fryer Ribeye Steak
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes
Servings: 2
Difficulty Level: Easy
Ingredients:
- 2 ribeye steaks, about 1 inch thick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons steak seasoning (or a mix of salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Bring Steaks to Room Temperature:
- Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.
- Season Steaks:
- Rub each steak with olive oil, ensuring they are well-coated. Season both sides with steak seasoning, dried thyme (if using), and smoked paprika (if using).
- Place in Air Fryer:
- Place the seasoned ribeye steaks in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other.
- Air Fry:
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5-7 minutes for medium-rare or 8-10 minutes for medium, flipping the steaks halfway through the cooking time.
- Add Butter:
- In the last 2 minutes of cooking, place a tablespoon of butter on top of each steak to melt and baste them.
- Check for Doneness:
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should be around 135°F (57°C), and for medium, aim for 145°F (63°C).
- Rest:
- Once done, let the steaks rest for 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.
- Garnish:
- Optionally, garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
- Serve:
- Serve the Air Fryer Ribeye Steaks hot, and enjoy the delicious, juicy flavor.
Note:
- Adjust cooking times based on your preferred level of doneness and the thickness of the steaks.
- Experiment with different seasonings and herbs to customize the flavor of your ribeye steaks.
- Always use a meat thermometer to ensure your steak reaches the desired internal temperature for safety and taste.
