- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 green onion, sliced (for garnish, optional)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Chicken Thighs:
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Make Soy Sauce Marinade:
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to make the marinade.
- Marinate Chicken:
- Place the chicken thighs in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour half of the soy sauce marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Reserve the remaining marinade for basting.
- Marinate Time:
- Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 10 minutes, or for better flavor, refrigerate and marinate for up to 4 hours.
- Coat with Olive Oil:
- Lightly coat the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Air Fry Chicken Thighs:
- Place the marinated chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side down. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes.
- Flip and Baste:
- Flip the chicken thighs, baste with the reserved marinade, and air fry for an additional 10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish:
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
- Serve:
- Serve the Air Fryer Soy Sauce Chicken Thighs hot with your favorite side dishes.
- Enjoy!
- Enjoy this flavorful and succulent soy sauce-marinated chicken right from the air fryer.
Note:
- Ensure that the chicken thighs are cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safety.
- Adjust the cooking time based on the size and thickness of the chicken thighs and your specific air fryer model.
- Customize the marinade by adding a dash of Sriracha or red pepper flakes for some heat.
