Air fryer roast beef

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
Total Time: 35-40 minutes
Servings: 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs beef roast (such as sirloin, top round, or chuck)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef:
    • Pat the beef roast dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
    • In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper to create a spice rub.
  2. Season the Beef:
    • Rub the spice mixture all over the surface of the beef roast, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (180°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Air Fry the Roast Beef:
    • Once preheated, place the seasoned beef roast in the air fryer basket or on the air fryer tray.
    • Cook the roast beef in the air fryer at 360°F (180°C) for 25-30 minutes, depending on desired level of doneness and the thickness of the roast. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of 130-135°F (54-57°C), and for medium, aim for 140-145°F (60-63°C).
    • If desired, flip the roast halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
  5. Rest and Serve:
    • Once the roast beef is cooked to your desired doneness, remove it from the air fryer and transfer it to a cutting board.
    • Allow the roast beef to rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a juicier roast.
    • After resting, slice the roast beef against the grain into thin slices.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the air fryer roast beef slices with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a green salad.
    • Enjoy your deliciously tender and flavorful air fryer roast beef!

Note:

  • Cooking times may vary depending on the size and thickness of the beef roast, as well as the specific model of your air fryer. It’s always a good idea to use a meat thermometer to ensure the roast is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
