Baked Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs Recipe

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Yields: 6 servings

Ingredients:

For the Meatballs:

1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 large eggs
For the Mozzarella Filling:

6 small mozzarella balls or cubes (about 1 inch each)
For the Sauce:

2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions:

Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare Meatball Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, black pepper, and eggs. Mix until well combined.
Form Meatballs:

Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a mozzarella ball or cube in the center and encase it with the meat, forming a ball. Ensure the meatball is sealed well to prevent the cheese from leaking during baking. Repeat for the remaining meat mixture.
Arrange Meatballs:

Place the stuffed meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each meatball.
Bake:

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
Warm Marinara Sauce:

While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through.
Serve:

Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to a serving dish. Pour the warm marinara sauce over the meatballs.
Garnish (Optional):

Garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.
