Intensity: Medium
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 cup fresh spinach leaves, chopped
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg wash (1 egg beaten with a splash of water)
Instructions:
- Preheat Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, olive oil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients evenly.
- Prepare Pastry:
- Lay out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a clean surface. Spread the spinach and feta filling evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Roll Up:
- Starting from one end, tightly roll up the pastry to form a log. Seal the edge by brushing it with a bit of the egg wash.
- Slice Pinwheels:
- Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1-inch thick pieces to create pinwheels.
- Air Fry:
- Place the pinwheels in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching each other. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook Pinwheels:
- Air fry the pinwheels at 400°F (200°C) for about 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve:
- Once cooked, remove the pinwheels from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
