air fryer sausage rolls
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 8 pork sausages, casings removed
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)
- Ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce, for serving
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the pork sausage meat and breadcrumbs. Mix until well combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the puff pastry into 8 equal rectangles.
- Take a portion of the sausage mixture and shape it into a log. Place the sausage log along one edge of a puff pastry rectangle. Roll the pastry around the sausage, sealing the edge with a bit of beaten egg.
- Repeat with the remaining sausage meat and puff pastry rectangles.
- Brush the tops of the sausage rolls with beaten egg. Sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds over the top, if desired.
- Place the sausage rolls in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each roll.
- Air fry the sausage rolls for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Once cooked, remove the sausage rolls from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Serve the sausage rolls warm with ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce.
