Avocado Smoothie

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 1 cup spinach leaves (optional for added nutrients)
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond, soy, or oat milk)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes (optional, for a thicker smoothie)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh.
    • Peel the frozen banana.
  2. Blend the Smoothie:
    • In a blender, combine the avocado, frozen banana, spinach leaves (if using), milk, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract.
    • Add the ice cubes if you prefer a thicker, colder smoothie.
  3. Blend Until Smooth:
    • Blend all the ingredients on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This should take about 1-2 minutes. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a bit more milk until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. Serve:
    • Pour the smoothie into two glasses.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy!
