Blueberry Lemon Drop

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes

  • Blend Time: 1–2 minutes

  • Total Time: 6–7 minutes

  • Difficulty Level: Very Easy

  • Servings: 2–3 cups

 Ingredients

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2–3 lemons)

  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (or to taste)

  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional for extra sweetness)

  • 1 cup cold water or lemonade

  • 1½ to 2 cups ice cubes

Optional Add-Ins (for Adults):

  • 1.5 oz citrus vodka or lemon liqueur for a cocktail version

  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest for added aroma

  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

 Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients

  • If using fresh blueberries, give them a quick rinse and drain.

  • Juice your lemons until you get about 1/3 cup.

  • Add optional lemon zest if you want a more intense citrus punch.

Step 2: Blend the Slushee

In your Ninja blender or similar device:

  1. Add blueberries, lemon juice, honey, water (or lemonade), and ice to the blender.

  2. Blend on high or “crush ice” mode for 60–90 seconds, or until the consistency is thick and smooth like a gas-station slushie.

Pro Tip: Add more ice if it’s too runny, or a splash more liquid if it’s too thick.

Step 3: Taste and Adjust

  • Taste the slushee and add more sweetener or lemon juice to match your flavor preferences.

  • Blend again for a few seconds if you adjust anything.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy

  • Pour into chilled glasses.

  • Garnish with a lemon slice, blueberries, or mint.

  • Serve immediately with a thick straw or spoon.

 Make It Boozy (Adult Version)

To turn this into a Blueberry Lemon Drop Cocktail Slushee:

  • Add 1.5 oz citrus vodka or limoncello before blending.

  • Adjust sweetness if needed—alcohol can mellow the flavor.

  • Serve in martini or rocks glasses with sugared rims.

 Storage Tips

  • Best enjoyed fresh!

  • If you have leftovers, pour into a freezer-safe container and freeze. Re-blend or stir with a splash of liquid before serving again.

  • You can also freeze the mixture in an ice cube tray and blend cubes later for a quick slushee.
