Description:
Blackstone Burger Tacos combine the juicy, flavorful experience of a classic burger with the convenience and fun of a taco. Perfect for outdoor grilling, these burger tacos are made on a Blackstone griddle for an easy and delicious meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 mix recommended)
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade blend)
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 1 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/2 cup burger sauce (or your favorite sauce)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil or cooking spray for the griddle
Instructions:
Prep Work (5-10 minutes):
- Prepare the Ground Beef: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with the taco seasoning. Mix well to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed.
- Prepare the Toppings: Shred the lettuce, dice the tomato, finely chop the red onion, and slice the pickles. Set aside.
Cooking on the Blackstone Griddle (15-20 minutes):
- Preheat the Griddle: Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the surface with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Cook the Beef: Place the seasoned ground beef on the griddle. Use a spatula to break it into small pieces as it cooks. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Warm the Tortillas: While the beef is cooking, place the flour tortillas on the griddle to warm them up. Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side until they are warm and slightly toasted. Remove and set aside.
Assemble the Tacos (5 minutes):
- Add the Beef: Spoon the cooked ground beef onto each warm tortilla.
- Add the Toppings: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the beef while it’s still hot to melt slightly. Add shredded lettuce, diced tomato, chopped red onion, and pickle slices.
- Add the Sauce: Drizzle your favorite burger sauce over the toppings.
Serve:
- Serve the burger tacos immediately, while they’re hot and fresh. They pair well with a side of fries or a simple salad.
