CAJUN CORN ON THE COB

Cajun corn on the cob is a flavorful and spicy twist on the classic corn on the cob. Here’s a simple recipe to make Cajun-spiced corn that’s perfect for a barbecue or a summer side dish:

Ingredients:

  • 4 ears of fresh corn, husked and cleaned
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
  • Lime wedges (for serving, optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Grill:

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

2. Make the Cajun Butter:

a. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the Cajun butter.

3. Prep the Corn:

a. Brush each ear of corn with the Cajun butter, making sure to coat them evenly.

4. Grill the Corn:

a. Place the corn on the preheated grill.

b. Grill for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, or until the corn is cooked and has a nice char.

5. Serve:

a. Remove the corn from the grill and place them on a serving platter.

b. Brush the corn with any remaining Cajun butter.

c. Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lime wedges on the side.
