Carnivore Chips

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15-20 minutes
Total Time: 25-30 minutes
Servings: 2-4

Ingredients

  • 1 pound thinly sliced beef or pork (choose a lean cut for crispy chips)
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: spices such as paprika, garlic powder, or onion powder (if following a relaxed carnivore diet)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a wire rack on a baking sheet for even crisping.
  2. Prepare the Meat:
    • Pat the thinly sliced meat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps in getting a crispier texture.
    • Arrange the meat slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet or wire rack.
  3. Season:
    • Lightly season the meat slices with salt. You can also sprinkle optional spices if using.
  4. Bake:
    • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through the cooking time, until the meat is crispy and browned. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  5. Cool and Serve:
    • Remove the chips from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet or wire rack. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
    • Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
