  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
    • If the chicken breasts are thick, pound them to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
  2. Prepare the Breading Stations:
    • In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
    • In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
    • In a third shallow dish, mix the panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese.
  3. Bread the Chicken:
    • Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
    • Dip the chicken into the beaten eggs, ensuring it is fully coated.
    • Press the chicken into the panko breadcrumb mixture, making sure it is evenly coated.

    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Cook the Chicken:
    • Lightly spray both sides of the breaded chicken breasts with olive oil spray.
    • Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken breasts and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and crispy and has reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve:
    • Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
