Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak, cut into cubes
  • 4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 1 cup baby carrots, halved lengthwise
  • 1 cup green beans, trimmed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for added spice)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven or Grill:
    • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Prepare Foil Packets:
    • Cut four large pieces of aluminum foil, each about 12 inches long. Place them on a flat surface.
  3. Combine Steak and Vegetables:
    • In a large bowl, combine the cubed sirloin steak, halved baby potatoes, halved baby carrots, and trimmed green beans.
  4. Prepare Garlic Butter Mixture:
    • In a small bowl, mix minced garlic, melted butter, olive oil, chopped parsley, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Coat with Garlic Butter:
    • Pour the garlic butter mixture over the steak and vegetables. Toss until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Assemble Foil Packets:
    • Divide the steak and vegetable mixture among the foil sheets, placing it in the center. Fold the sides of the foil over the ingredients and seal the edges to create packets.
  7. Cook in Oven or Grill:
    • If using the oven, place the foil packets on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the steak reaches your desired level of doneness.
    • If using the grill, place the foil packets directly on the grill grates and cook for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally.
  8. Check for Doneness:
    • Carefully open one foil packet to check the doneness of the steak and vegetables.
  9. Serve:
    • Carefully open the foil packets, being mindful of the hot steam. Serve the steak and vegetables directly from the packets.
  10. Enjoy:
    • Enjoy these delicious and flavorful garlic butter steak and potato foil packets!

Note:

  • You can customize the vegetables based on your preferences. Other options include bell peppers, mushrooms, or zucchini.
