Instructions:

Cooking the Chicken:

  4. Prepare Mustard-Honey Glaze: In a small bowl, mix Dijon mustard and honey. Brush the mustard-honey glaze over the seared chicken breasts.
  5. Top with Bacon and Mushrooms: Place two slices of cooked bacon on each chicken breast, followed by sliced mushrooms.
  6. Sprinkle with Cheese: Generously sprinkle shredded Colby-Jack cheese over the top of each chicken breast.

Baking:

  1. Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Making Honey Mustard Sauce:

  1. Prepare Honey Mustard Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, onion powder, and garlic powder until well combined.
