  • 8 slices cooked bacon
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese

For the Honey Mustard Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

For Garnish:

  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions:

Cooking the Chicken:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Sear Chicken: In an ovenproof skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Prepare Mustard-Honey Glaze: In a small bowl, mix Dijon mustard and honey. Brush the mustard-honey glaze over the seared chicken breasts.

  6. Sprinkle with Cheese: Generously sprinkle shredded Colby-Jack cheese over the top of each chicken breast.

Baking:

  1. Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Making Honey Mustard Sauce:

  1. Prepare Honey Mustard Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, onion powder, and garlic powder until well combined.

Serving:

  1. Rest and Garnish: Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
  2. Serve Hot with Sauce: Drizzle the honey mustard sauce over the top of each chicken breast before serving.
