Preparation Time: 30 minutes

Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Difficulty Level: Moderate

Ingredients:

For the Cabbage Rolls:

  • 1 large head of cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Sauce:

  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cabbage Leaves:
    • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the core from the cabbage and place the whole head in the boiling water. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the outer leaves are soft and pliable. Remove the cabbage from the water and let it cool. Peel off the leaves.
  2. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, dried thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Fill and Roll:
    • Place a cabbage leaf on a clean surface. Add a generous scoop of the beef and rice mixture in the center. Roll the cabbage leaf, tucking in the sides as you go, to form a neat roll. Repeat with the remaining leaves and filling.
  4. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In a separate bowl, mix together tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper to create the sauce.
  5. Arrange in the Air Fryer:
    • Place the stuffed cabbage rolls in the air fryer basket, seam side down. Make sure they are not too crowded for even cooking.
  6. Air Fry:
    • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes, or until the cabbage rolls are cooked through and have a slightly crispy exterior.
  7. Serve:
    • Remove the stuffed cabbage rolls from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes.
  8. Enjoy!
    • Serve the Air Fryer Stuffed Cabbage Rolls with a ladle of the prepared sauce.

Note:

Adjust the seasoning and ingredients to suit your taste preferences. These air-fried stuffed cabbage rolls are a delicious and convenient twist on a classic dish, with the air fryer providing a quick and crispy finish.
