Air Fryer Baby Back Ribs

Air Fryer Baby Back Ribs

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Marinating Time: 2-4 hours (optional)
Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
Total Time: 40-55 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (optional, for glazing)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ribs:
    • If not already done, remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
  2. Create Dry Rub:
    • In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to create the dry rub.
  3. Season Ribs:
    • Rub the dry rub all over the ribs, ensuring an even coating. If time allows, let the ribs marinate in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours to enhance flavor. If you’re short on time, you can proceed to the next step immediately.
  4. Preheat Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Air Fry Ribs:
    • Place the ribs in the air fryer basket, curved side up. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cut the racks in half. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
  6. Check for Doneness:
    • Check the ribs for doneness. They should have a nice crust and be tender. If needed, add a few more minutes of cooking time.
  7. Optional Glazing:
    • If you like, brush the ribs with barbecue sauce during the last 5 minutes of cooking for a sticky and flavorful glaze.
  8. Rest and Serve:
    • Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing them into individual ribs. Serve hot.
  9. Enjoy:
    • Enjoy your delicious and tender air-fried baby back ribs!

Note:

  • Serve with your favorite side dishes, such as coleslaw, cornbread, or baked beans.
