Air Fryer Baked Potatoes

Air fryer baked potatoes are a quick and easy way to enjoy perfectly cooked potatoes with crispy skins. Here’s a simple recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes
  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, bacon bits

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Air Fryer:

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

2. Prepare the Potatoes:

a. Scrub the potatoes clean and pat them dry with a paper towel.

b. Pierce each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during cooking.

3. Coat with Olive Oil and Salt:

a. Rub each potato with olive oil, ensuring they are well-coated. This helps achieve a crispy skin.

b. Sprinkle the potatoes with salt, covering them evenly.

4. Air Fry the Potatoes:

a. Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer.

b. Air fry for 35-45 minutes, turning the potatoes halfway through the cooking time. Cooking times may vary depending on the size and power of your air fryer.

5. Check for Doneness:

a. To check if the potatoes are done, insert a fork or knife into the center. If it goes in easily, they are ready.

6. Serve:

a. Once the potatoes are cooked through and the skins are crispy, remove them from the air fryer.

b. Allow them to cool for a few minutes before slicing them open.

7. Add Toppings:

a. Fluff the insides of the potatoes with a fork.

b. Add your favorite toppings, such as sour cream, chives, shredded cheese, or bacon bits.

8. Enjoy:

Serve your air fryer baked potatoes hot and enjoy!

Air fryer baked potatoes are a convenient and time-saving way to make a classic and versatile side dish. They can be customized with various toppings to suit your taste. Enjoy these crispy-skinned, fluffy-centered baked potatoes in a fraction of the time it takes to bake them in the oven.
