Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 8-10 minutes per batch
Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 24 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped nuts

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer.
    • Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or chopped nuts.
  2. Shape the Cookies:
    • Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper.
    • Flatten each ball slightly with the palm of your hand or the bottom of a glass.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for about 3 minutes.
  4. Cook the Cookies:
    • Place a layer of parchment paper or a silicone mat in the air fryer basket to prevent sticking.
    • Arrange the flattened cookie dough balls in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Air fry the cookies at 320°F (160°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until they are lightly golden around the edges.
  5. Cool the Cookies:
    • Remove the cookies from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack.
    • Repeat the process with the remaining cookie dough.
  6. Serve:
    • Once the cookies are cool, enjoy them with a glass of milk or a cup of tea.

Tips:

  • Keep an eye on the cookies as they cook since air fryer models can vary in cooking times.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon or a handful of dried fruit to the dough.
  • These cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
