  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or rosemary) for garnish (optional)
  • Onion gravy (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook Sausages:
    • Place the sausages in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes or until they start to brown. Shake the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  3. Prepare Batter:
    • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Grease Baking Dish:
    • Grease a baking dish or the bottom of your air fryer basket with the butter.
  5. Pour Batter:
    • Pour the batter into the baking dish or the bottom of the air fryer basket.
  6. Place Sausages:
    • Arrange the partially cooked sausages in the batter, spacing them evenly.
  7. Air Fry:
    • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 18-20 minutes or until the batter is puffed and golden brown.
  8. Garnish:
    • If desired, garnish with fresh herbs.
  9. Serve:
    • Serve the Air Fryer Toad in the Hole hot, with optional onion gravy on the side.
