Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
- 1 banana, frozen
- 1 cup spinach leaves (optional for added nutrients)
- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, such as almond, soy, or oat milk)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup ice cubes (optional, for a thicker smoothie)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh.
- Peel the frozen banana.
- Blend the Smoothie:
- In a blender, combine the avocado, frozen banana, spinach leaves (if using), milk, Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup (if using), and vanilla extract.
- Add the ice cubes if you prefer a thicker, colder smoothie.
- Blend Until Smooth:
- Blend all the ingredients on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. This should take about 1-2 minutes. If the smoothie is too thick, you can add a bit more milk until you reach your desired consistency.
- Serve:
- Pour the smoothie into two glasses.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
