Baked Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Recipe: Baked Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Serves: 12 sliders

Ingredients:

For the Sliders:

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1.5 lbs thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced (green or red)
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 slices provolone cheese

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions:

For the Sliders:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add thinly sliced ribeye steak to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Sauté until the vegetables are softened.
  5. Return the cooked ribeye steak to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Mix well to combine.
  6. Split the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
  7. Spoon the Philly cheesesteak mixture evenly over the slider buns.
  8. Top each slider with a slice of provolone cheese.
  9. Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese.

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  1. In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, onion powder, and dried oregano.
  2. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the tops of the sliders.

Baking:

  1. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the tops are golden brown.

To Serve:

  1. Remove from the oven and let the sliders cool slightly.
  2. Use a sharp knife to separate the sliders, if needed.
  3. Serve the Baked Philly Cheesesteak Sliders hot and enjoy this delicious and easy-to-share dish!

Note: You can customize the sliders by adding mayonnaise, mustard, or your favorite condiments. Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese for extra flavor.
