  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Saute Onion and Broccoli:
    • In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until softened. Add the steamed and chopped broccoli florets, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  3. Prepare Baking Dish:
    • Grease a pie dish or quiche pan with cooking spray.
  4. Layer Ingredients:
    • Spread the broccoli and onion mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Add the diced ham and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  5. Whisk Eggs and Milk:
    • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, dried thyme (if using), and garlic powder (if using).
  6. Pour Egg Mixture:
    • Pour the egg mixture over the broccoli, ham, and cheese.
  7. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is set in the middle and the top is golden brown.
  8. Check for Doneness:
    • Insert a knife into the center; if it comes out clean, the quiche is done.
  9. Cool and Serve:
