Ingredients:

For the Onion Rings:

  • 2 large yellow onions, cut into 1/2-inch rings
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs

For the Dipping Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

 Preheat the Air Fryer:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Ingredients:

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the buttermilk in another bowl.
  3. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.

 Coat the Onion Rings:

  1. Dredge each onion ring in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  2. Dip the coated ring into the buttermilk, ensuring it’s fully submerged.
  3. Place the soaked ring into the panko breadcrumbs, pressing the crumbs onto the onion to adhere.

 Air Fry:

  1. Arrange the coated onion rings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  2. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.

 Make the Dipping Sauce:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

 Serve:

  1. Once the onion rings are crispy and golden, remove them from the air fryer.
  2. Serve hot with the prepared dipping sauce.

Enjoy your crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Onion Rings!
