AIR FRYER SPAM

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of Spam (12 ounces)
  • Cooking spray or oil (optional, for greasing)

Optional Seasonings:

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3 minutes.
  2. Prepare Spam:
    • Slice the Spam into 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick slices.
  3. Season (Optional):
    • If desired, you can season the Spam slices with your preferred seasonings. Combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the Spam slices and gently rub it in.
  4. Grease Air Fryer Basket (Optional):
    • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil to prevent sticking, although Spam tends to release some oil during cooking.
  5. Air Fry Spam:
    • Place the seasoned Spam slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
  6. Cook Spam:
    • Air fry the Spam slices at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. The Spam should be golden brown and slightly crispy on the edges.
  7. Check for Doneness:
    • Check the Spam slices for desired crispiness. If needed, cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  8. Serve:
    • Once done, remove the air-fried Spam slices from the air fryer basket. Serve hot as desired.
  9. Enjoy:
    • Enjoy your air-fried Spam slices as a delicious and versatile addition to breakfast, sandwiches, salads, or as a snack!

Note:

  • You can adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences. Experiment with different spices and herbs for added flavor.
  • Air-fried Spam pairs well with eggs, rice, or in sandwiches.
