Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes
Total Time: 30-35 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 gammon steaks (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (optional, for a sweet glaze)

Instructions:

Preparing the Gammon Steaks:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
  2. Brush with Oil: Brush both sides of the gammon steaks with olive oil. This helps them crisp up in the air fryer.

Seasoning the Gammon:

  1. Mix Seasonings: In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, dried thyme (if using), and cayenne pepper (if using).
  2. Season Gammon: Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over both sides of the gammon steaks, ensuring even coverage.

Air Frying:

  1. Arrange in Air Fryer: Place the seasoned gammon steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overcrowd.
  2. Air Fry: Cook in the preheated air fryer for 10-12 minutes, then flip the steaks and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes or until the gammon is crispy and golden brown.

Optional Glaze:

  1. Apply Maple Syrup or Honey (Optional): If desired, brush the gammon steaks with maple syrup or honey during the last few minutes of cooking for a sweet glaze.

Serving:

  1. Rest and Slice: Allow the gammon steaks to rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve Hot: Serve the Air Fryer Crispy Gammon hot with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables, salad, or mashed potatoes.

Enjoy:
