Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 pound cooked shrimp, peeled and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons celery, finely diced
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped (for garnish)
  • Paprika (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Hard-Boil Eggs:
    • Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Transfer the eggs to an ice water bath to cool.
  2. Peel and Slice Eggs:
    • Peel the hard-boiled eggs and cut them in half lengthwise. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.
  3. Make the Filling:
    • Mash the egg yolks with a fork. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  4. Add Shrimp and Celery:
    • Fold in the chopped shrimp and finely diced celery into the yolk mixture. Reserve some shrimp for garnish if desired.
  5. Fill Egg Whites:
    • Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  6. Garnish:
    • Top each deviled egg with a piece of shrimp, chopped green onion, and a sprinkle of paprika.
  7. Chill:
    • Refrigerate the Cajun Shrimp Deviled Eggs for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve:
    • Serve chilled and enjoy this flavorful twist on classic deviled eggs.

Note:
