Steak bites

Air fryer steak bites are a quick and delicious way to prepare steak, perfect for a snack, appetizer, or main dish. Here’s a simple recipe to make them:

Air Fryer Steak Bites Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) steak (sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin work well), cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Season the Steak: In a large bowl, combine the steak cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the steak pieces evenly.
  3. Arrange in Air Fryer: Place the seasoned steak bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary to ensure even cooking.
  4. Cook the Steak Bites: Air fry the steak bites at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking for even browning. Adjust the cooking time depending on your preferred level of doneness:
    • For medium-rare, aim for 8 minutes.
    • For medium, aim for 10 minutes.
    • For well-done, cook a bit longer, but be cautious not to overcook as the steak can become tough.
  5. Rest and Serve: Remove the steak bites from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes. This helps retain their juices. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Cut: Use a tender cut of steak such as sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin for the best results.
  • Even Cooking: Ensure the steak bites are of uniform size for even cooking.
  • Marinate for Extra Flavor: For added flavor, marinate the steak cubes in your favorite marinade for 30 minutes to a few hours before seasoning and cooking.
  • Serve with Dipping Sauce: These steak bites pair well with a variety of dipping sauces such as garlic aioli, chimichurri, or blue cheese dressing.

Enjoy your perfectly cooked air fryer steak bites!
